Know Your Risk
Risk factors are things that can increase a person’s chance of developing a disease. Your breast cancer risk factors may affect how you and your health care provider approach your breast health. So, be sure to have a full discussion with your health care provider about your personal risk factors. If you have an increased risk of breast cancer, you may benefit from a consultation at a high-risk breast clinic or with an expert in breast cancer.
Edith Sanford Breast Center provides breast cancer screening, chemoprevention, and genetic evaluation for individuals at increased risk of breast cancer due to personal risk factors.
Our multidisciplinary team also sees patients who are concerned about their personal and family history of breast cancer.
Edith Sanford is part of the Athena Breast Health Network, a collaboration among University of California medical centers, their affiliates, and several other public and private partners.
Through this partnership, we can offer the most advanced approaches to risk assessment protocols and clinical research.
